Abstract

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2023 was 6.80 percent, down 1.43 percentage points compared to August 2022.

Lingga Regency and Anambas Islands Regency experienced an increase in TPT while the other five districts/cities experienced a decrease in TPT.

The total labor force in August 2023 was 1 093 686 people. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) decreased by 0.26 percentage points compared to August 2022.

The working population was 1 019 356 people. The employment sector that absorbed the largest number of workers was the Processing Industry with 257 178 people. Meanwhile, the field of work that absorbs the smallest workers is Financial Services as many as 12 817 people.

A total of 343 222 people (33.67 percent) worked in informal activities, down 2.65 percentage points compared to August 2022.

The percentage of underemployed and part-time workers decreased, respectively by 0.15 percentage points and 1.52 percentage points compared to August 2022.
