Abstract

The number of foreign tourists to Riau Islands Province during January 2024 was recorded at 97,054 visits or decreased by 48.84 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, when compared to January 2023, there was a decrease of 19.16 percent.

Foreign tourists visiting Riau Islands Province in January 2024 were dominated by Singaporean nationals, reaching 51.76 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January 2024.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star-rated hotels in Riau Islands Province in January 2024 averaged 53.78 percent or decreased by 7.69 points compared to the December 2023 TPK which was recorded at 61.47 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in Riau Islands Province in January 2024 was recorded at 2.41 days, an increase of 0.51 points compared to December 2023.
