Abstract

In April 2019, the CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed inflation of 0.18 percent. Inflation occurs because of the increase in the Consumer Price Index from 136.93 in March 2019 to 137.18 in April 2019. Inflation in the calendar year (January to April 2019) is 0.49 percent. Year-on-year inflation (April 2019 against April 2018) is 3.20 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in Kepulauan Riau Province, it was recorded that Batam and Tanjungpinang City experienced inflation of 0.18 percent and 0.16 percent respectively.
