Abstract

In April 2021, Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam and Tanjungpinang Municipality) CPI showed inflation of 0.09 percent. Inflation occurred due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index from 104.68 in March 2021 to 104.77 in April 2021. Inflation for the calendar year (January to April 2021) was 0.09 percent. Year-on-year inflation (April 2021 against April 2020) is 1.61 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in the Kepulauan Riau Province, Batam Municipality experienced inflation of 0.15 percent, while Tanjungpinang Municipality experienced deflation of 0.36 percent.
