Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting the Kepulauan Riau Province in September 2019 reached 23,753 visits, a decrease of 12.78 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month, where the number of foreign tourists in August 2019 was 265,718 visits. Meanwhile, when compared with September 2018, the visit of foreign tourists in September 2019 has increased, namely by 2.10 percent.

Tourists visiting the Kepulauan Riau Province in January to September 2019 were dominated by Singaporean tourists with a percentage of 47.07 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January-September 2019.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in September 2019 reached an average of 50.18 percent or an increase of 2.36 points compared to the August 2019 TPK of 47.82 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in September 2019 was 1.98 days, down 0.25 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in August 2019.
