Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting Kepulauan Riau Province in December 2019 reached 276,914 visits, an increase of 14.78 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month, where the number of foreign tourists in November 2019 was 241,249 visits. Meanwhile, when compared to December 2018, the number of foreign tourists visiting December 2019 decreased by 13.32 percent.

Tourists visiting Kepulauan Riau Province in January to December 2019 were dominated by Singaporean tourists with a percentage of 48.52 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January-December 2019.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in December 2019 reached an average of 56.67 percent or an increase of 0.11 points compared to the ROR for November 2019 of 56.56 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in December 2019 was 1.76 days, down 0.16 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in November 2019.
