Abstract

The number of foreign tourists or tourists visiting Kepulauan Riau Province in October 2019 reached 227,823 visits, a decrease of 1.70 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month, where the number of foreign tourists in September 2019 was 231,753 visits. Meanwhile, when compared with October 2018, tourist arrivals in October 2019 experienced an increase of 10.69 percent.

Tourists visiting the Kepulauan Riau Province from January to October 2019 were dominated by Singaporean tourists with a percentage of 46.86 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January-October 2019.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in October 2019 reached an average of 51.42 percent or an increase of 1.24 points compared to the September 2019 TPK of 50.18 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in October 2019 was 2.35 days, up 0.37 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in September 2019.
