Abstract

The economy of Kepulauan Riau in the third quarter of 2022 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp. 77.42 trillion and at constant prices (ADHK) reached Rp. 47.07 trillion.

Economy of Kepulauan Riau in quarter III-2022 (y-on-y) grew by 6.03 percent. In terms of business sector, growth in this quarter was driven by the Manufacturing Industry category, which contributed 2.06 percent to growth and the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provider category, which contributed 1.01 percent to growth. From the expenditure side, the PKRT Component has a share of growth of 3.50 percent and the PMTB Component has a share of 1.85 percent.

Economy of Kepulauan Riau in quarter III-2022 compared to quarter II-2022 (q-to-q) grew by 0.58 percent. In terms of production, economic growth was mainly due to the Manufacturing Industry category with the largest growth share of 1.24 percent, followed by the Construction category and the Information and Communications category with a growth share of 0.97 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the PMTB component contributed the largest growth, namely 1.55 percent, followed by the PK-RT component with a share of 0.31 percent.

Until quarter III-2022, cumulatively (c-to-c) Kepulauan Riau economic growth grew by 4.63 percent over the same period the previous year.

In the regional scope, the GRDP of the Kepulauan Riau in the third quarter of 2022 contributed 7.21 percent to the GRDP of the island of Sumatra.
