Kepulauan Riau Economy in the Third Quarter of 2024 4.98 Percent (C-To-C)
The Kepulauan Riau economy in the third quarter of 2024 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp86.88 trillion and at constant prices (ADHK) reached Rp51.84 trillion.
The Kepulauan Riau economy in the third quarter of 2024 (y-on-y) grew by 5.02 percent. In terms of business fields, growth in this quarter was driven by the Processing Industry category which had a growth share of 3.26 percent and the Construction category which contributed 0.60 percent to growth. In terms of expenditure, the Net Export Component had a growth share of 2.13 percent and the PK-RT Component with a share of 2.03 percent.
The Kepulauan Riau economy in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the second quarter of 2024 (q-to-q) grew by 0.53 percent. In terms of production, economic growth was mainly due to the Mining and Quarrying category with the largest growth share of 1.49 percent, followed by the Construction category with a growth share of 0.78 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Net Export component contributed the largest growth of 2.37 percent, followed by the PMTB component with a share of 0.68 percent.
Until the third quarter of 2024, cumulatively (c-to-c) Kepulauan Riau economic growth grew by 4.98 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
In the regional scope, the Kepulauan Riau GRDP in the third quarter of 2024 contributed 7.00 percent to the GRDP of Sumatra Island.
