Economic Growth of Kepulauan Riau Province in Fourth Quater 2023

Abstract

The economy of Kepulauan Riau Province in 2023 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) will reach IDR 331.89 trillion and at constant prices (ADHK) it will reach IDR 200.04 trillion. The GDP per capita of the Riau Islands in 2023 will reach 154.18 million.

The economy of Kepulauan Riau Province in the fourth quarter of 2023 (y-on-y) grew by 4.45 percent. In terms of business, growth in this quarter was driven by the Construction category which had a growth share of 2.18 percent. In terms of expenditure, the PMTB component has a growth contribution of 3.60 percent and the PK-RT component has a share of 1.90 percent.

The economy of Kepulauan Riau Province in the fourth quarter of 2023 compared to the third quarter of 2023 (q-to-q) grew by 6.80 percent. From the production side, economic growth was mainly caused by the Manufacturing Industry category with the largest growth share of 3.86 percent, followed by the Construction category with a growth share of 2.41 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the PK-P component contributed the largest growth, namely 3.33 percent, followed by the PMTB component with a contribution of 1.56 percent.

The economy of Kepulauan Riau Province in 2023 grow by 5.20 percent, growing faster than in 2022 of 5.09 percent.

In the regional scope, the GDP of Kepulauan Riau Province in the fourth quarter of 2023 contributed 7.57 percent to the GRDP of Sumatra Island.
