The CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province showed inflation of 0.86 percent

In November 2021, the CPI of the Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed inflation of 0.86 percent. Inflation occurred due to the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 105.54 in October 2021 to 106.45 in November 2021. Inflation for the calendar year (January–November) 2021 was 1.69 percent. Year-on-year inflation (November 2021 against November 2020) was 2.75 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in the Riau Islands Province, Batam City experienced inflation of 0.86 percent, and Tanjungpinang City experienced an inflation of 0.85 percent.

In November 2021 Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) of the Kepulauan Riau by 106.09 or up 0.82 percent while the Business Exchange Rate Agriculture (NTUP) of the Kepulauan Riau was 107.02 or an increase of 1.01 percent.

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) to the Kepulauan Riau Province during October 2021 was recorded as 158 visits or an increase of 9,72 percent compared to the previous month. However, when compared to October 2020, there was a decrease of 72,85 percent.

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing from the Kepulauan Riau Province in October 2021 was 99.369 people, a 31,91 percent decrease compared to september 2021. There are no international air transport passengers departing from the Riau Islands Province in October 2021.

The Human Development Index in 2021 has increased compared to the previous year. The IPM of Kepulauan RIau Province in 2021 is 75.79, an increase of 0.20 points or 0.26 percent growth compared to the achievement in 2020.
