March 2022 CPI in Kepulauan Riau Province showed inflation of 0.68 percent

In March 2022, the CPI of the Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Kota Tanjungpinang) shows inflation of 0.68 percent. Inflation occurs because increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 107.34 in February 2022 to 108.07 in March 2022. Inflation for the calendar year (January–March) 2022 was 0.95 percent. Year-on-year inflation (March 2022 to March 2021) of 3.24 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in the Kepulauan Riau Province, Batam City is recorded as experienced inflation of 0.73 percent, and Tanjungpinang City experienced inflation by 0.36 percent.
In March 2022, the NTP of Kepulauan Riau Province was recorded at 107.07 or a decreased by 0.11 percent compared to the NTP in February 2022.
The number of foreign tourists (tourists) to the Kepulauan Riau Province during February 2022 was recorded at 360 visits or an increase of 9.76 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, when compared to February 2021, there was an increase of 108.09 percent.
The number of domestic air transport passengers departing from the Kepulauan Riau Province in February 2022 was 113,710 people, a decrease of 16.97 percent compared to January 2022. There were no international air transport passengers departing from the Kepulauan Riau Province in February 2022.
