The CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province showed inflation of 0.56 percent in December 2021

In December 2021, the CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed inflation of 0.56 percent. Inflation occurred due to the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 106.45 in November 2021 to 107.05 in December 2021. Inflation for the calendar year (January–December) 2021 and year-on-year inflation (December 2021 against December 2020) was 2.26 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in Kepulauan Riau Province, Batam City experienced an inflation of 0.58 percent, and Tanjungpinang City experienced an inflation of 0.42 percent.

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) to Kepulauan Riau Province during November 2021 was recorded at 285 visits or an increase of 80.38 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, when compared to November 2020, there was a decrease of 49.20 percent.

In December 2021, the NTP of Kepulauan Riau Province was recorded at 107.29 or an increase of 1.13 percent compared to the NTP in November 2021.

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing from Kepulauan Riau Province in November 2021 was 127,530 people, an increase of 28.34 percent compared to October 2021. There were no international air transport passengers departing from Kepulauan Riau Province in November 2021.
