CPI February 2022 in Kepulauan Riau Province showed a deflation of 0.42 percent

In February 2022, the CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed a deflation of 0.42 percent. Deflation occurred due to a decrease in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 107.79 in January 2022 to 107.34 in February 2022. Inflation for the calendar year (January–February) 2022 was 0.27 percent. Year-on-year inflation (February 2022 against February 2021) was 2.47 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in Kepulauan Riau Province, Batam City experienced a deflation of 0.48 percent, while Tanjungpinang City experienced an inflation of 0.08 percent.
The number of foreign tourists (tourists) to Kepulauan Riau Province during January 2022 was recorded at 494 visits or decreased by 9.19 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, when compared to January 2021, there was an increase of 89.27 percent.
In February 2022, the NTP of Kepulauan Riau Province was recorded at 107.18 or an increase of 0.18 percent compared to the NTP in January 2021.
The number of domestic air transport passengers departing from Kepulauan Riau Islands Province in January 2022 was 136,944 people, an increase of 1.96 percent compared to December 2021. There were 3 international air transport passengers departing from the Riau Islands Province in January 2022.
The rice harvested area in 2021 will be 270.16 hectares, a decrease of 28.36 hectares or 9.50 percent compared to 2020 which was 298.52 hectares.
